The Organization of Nurse Leaders of New Jersey (ONL NJ) is pleased to announce the
7 th Annual Administrative Supervisor's Conference to be held virtually on September 19, 2024 - 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. EST.
Overview: At a moment's notice Administrative Supervisors are presented with unique challenges that can place unprecedented demands on them as nurse leaders, whether they are experienced or new to the role. Adaptive leadership, critical thinking, good communication skills, and caring relationships are all key attributes that define the successful Administrative Supervisor.
The 7th Annual Administrative Supervisor Conference will provide an unparalleled educational opportunity, designed specifically for Administrative Supervisors, who are the designated nurse leaders on the evening, night and weekend shifts.
This year's conference will explore the latest research on the Administrative Supervisor role, discuss the new ANA Nursing Leadership Scope and Standards and relevance to Administrative Supervisors, identify How to Reduce Your Malpractice Liability as an Administrative Supervisor, learn about working with GenZ colleagues ,and learn how to incorporate gratitude into your life and much more.
Please join ONL NJ and nursing colleagues from around the country in sharing experiences, tools and strategies to assist you in your unique role as Administrative Supervisor.
Learning Outcome: At the conclusion of this educational event, the learner will gain knowledge on the critical challenges of the role as Administrative Supervisor and will self-report on a Likert Scale of (1-5) an increase in knowledge and self confidence in adopting at least two key strategies to improve and sustain their role as Administrative Supervisors in challenging times, which may be transferable to their practice and/or organization.
Eighty percent of the learners will report that they have gained knowledge and self confidence on a Likert Scale of (1-5), in implementing at least two key strategies to improve and sustain their role as Administrative Supervisors in challenging times, which may be transferable to their practice and/or organization.
Successful completion of the course is defined as attendance for 100 percent of the virtual learning session and a completed course evaluation.
Target Audience: Administrative (House) supervisors and aspiring administrative supervisors in acute and post-acute care settings.
Continuing Nursing Education Credits: This activity has been submitted to the American Association of Critical Care Nurses for approval to award contact hours. The American Association of Critical Care Nurses is accredited as an approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
